Important Information & Policies

At French Fields, we aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for all our guests. To ensure clarity and fairness, we ask that you review our terms and conditions, which outline important policies regarding cancellations, bookings, and general property rules. Your understanding and cooperation help us maintain the high standards of service that we are committed to offering.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation within 7 days of arrival date: 100% forfeit of the total booking price. Please note that your deposit is non-refundable. We recommend our guests purchase Travel Insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. All bookings will be instantly confirmed at the time of booking.

In the event of non-payment, French Fields reserves the right to charge the guarantor’s credit card (supplied at the time of reservation).

Minimum Night Policy:

At French Fields, we have a strict two-night minimum stay policy.

Child Policy:

French Fields is designed to be a relaxing boutique accommodation for adults. Children above the age of 16 are welcome. Persons under the age of 18 years may not occupy a room on their own unless accompanied by parents or a legal guardian staying in a separate room that have given permission and accept full and final responsibility.

Office Hours:

• 9am- 5pm, Weekdays
• 10am-5pm, Weekends

If arriving outside of these hours please contact us during office hours to make arrangements.

Booking Policy:

By booking accommodation online through www.frenchfieldsnz.co.nz you agree to the following terms and conditions;

Tariff includes the New Zealand Goods and Services Tax of 15%. All rates are subject to change.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of reservation.

The credit card provided is used to guarantee the reservation and to provide a security deposit when booking. A deposit of $100 is required to secure your reservation. The balance is chargeable from 7 days prior to arrival. Cheques are not accepted.

Our Suites have a maximum occupancy of two guests per suite.

All guests must refrain from cooking or preparing anything inside our suites that can leave a lingering smell (curries, fish etc.). Should this occur, an airing out fee will apply.

Any damage to the property or suites will be charged to your credit card, plus a charge for any loss of income for the time the suite is unrentable, if applicable. This includes but is not limited to, any hazardous soiling of the premises e.g., blood, vomit or body fluids.

French Fields reserves the right to cancel your reservation if you are unable to comply with this policy.

Voucher Policy:

All vouchers are valid for stays within 12 months from purchase dates. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given. All booking policies still apply when using a voucher (2-night minimum etc.). Only one voucher may be used per booking and are not valid with any other promotions. Vouchers will not be accepted after expiry dates.

Check-In/Out Policy:

Check-in is from 3pm. Please advise your approximate arrival time when making your reservation.

Check-out is before 10am on day of departure.

Early check-ins/late checkouts are not guaranteed and must be pre-arranged.

Unarranged late check-outs will incur a fee of NZD150.

Smoking:

Smoking is not permitted inside any of the suites or shared outdoor facilities (Pool area, Petanque, BBQ area etc.).

Should you and/or your guests smoke in any of the suites, an airing out fee will apply.

You will be responsible for any costs, damage, or liability arising as a result of smoking. This includes but is not limited to call-out fees from the Fire Department.

Animals:

No animals are permitted except for working assistance dogs.

Under 18’s must be supervised at all times. Mistreatment of the animals will not be tolerated.

French Fields has a resident dog named Bella, please let us know if you would prefer her to be kept away during your stay.

Pool Area:

Our pool area is available for our guests to enjoy at their own risk.

Under 18’s must be accompanied at all times.

Please no diving or glass in the Pool Area.

The pool is open from October - March and closes at 10pm daily.
